Base Notes: Amber Woods, Sandalwood, Musk

Costa Verde is a vivid green fragrance inspired by coastal freshness and sunlit greenery.

The opening is bright and energising, combining grapefruit citrus facets with the unmistakable crispness of tomato leaf. This creates an immediate sense of verdant freshness.

In the heart, soft watery florals add a gentle marine lift, evoking the feeling of light moving across calm water. Subtle green nuances keep the fragrance airy and modern, while smooth musk and mineral woods begin to reveal themselves beneath.

The base settles into a clean, polished blend of iso e super, ambrox and soft sandalwood notes, giving Costa Verde a quiet warmth behind its fresh exterior. The result is a contemporary green-aquatic fragrance – bright, invigorating and effortless to wear, with a natural clarity that feels both coastal and botanical.

    The Vessel

Each perfume bottle begins as liquid porcelain slip, cast by hand into a plaster mould in our Johannesburg studio. Once released, every piece is left to dry for several days before being meticulously fettled: edges softened, lines refined, and surfaces smoothed with tools and wet sponging. After this shaping stage, the vessels dry again for a further two to three days before entering the kiln.

Some bottles are left unglazed and receive a single high-temperature firing, resulting in a soft, tactile matte finish that highlights the natural character of porcelain. Others undergo a two-step process: an initial bisque firing followed by glazing and a final high-temperature firing, creating a glossy, smooth surface with a polished, glasslike feel.

Once fired to 1220C, each vessel is wet-sanded with a fine abrasive to achieve perfect smoothness. Only the most flawless bottles pass our quality control before reaching the filling line, where they are filled with perfume, fitted with a high quality perfume pump and branded zinc-alloy cap, and finally boxed for release.

More than a container, the vessel is an object of craftsmanship which has been shaped slowly, finished by hand, and made to be kept.
